This page explains how the articles on HirePersonalTrainer are written and kept up to date, and how they relate to the expert listings in the directory.

Who writes the articles

Articles are written and maintained by the HirePersonalTrainer editorial team, the team that runs this website. HirePersonalTrainer is operated by InfiniSearches Pty Ltd (ABN 88 694 044 249). Articles are credited to the editorial team rather than to individual named writers, and we do not publish under invented names or personas.

General information, not advice

Our guides explain what different fitness and health experts do, what to look for and what questions to ask. They are general information only and are not medical, dietary or physiotherapy advice. Speak to your doctor or a registered health professional about your own situation before starting a new exercise, nutrition or treatment program.

Sources and dates

Every article shows the date it was published and, when it has been revised, the date it was last updated.

Our Learn guides list the sources they rely on, such as government health departments, regulators and professional associations, and show the date those sources were last checked.

Articles and listings

Articles do not recommend or rank individual experts. Links from an article go to directory pages for a type of expert or a location, where you can compare the experts who have published a profile.

Expert profiles are written by the experts themselves. Credentials on a profile are self-reported, and the “Photo verified” mark only confirms that the person matches their photos. Always check qualifications and registration with the expert and the relevant regulator.

Corrections and reports

If you think something in an article is wrong or out of date, account holders can tell us through Support, and we review and update the article where needed. If you are concerned about an expert profile, open the profile and choose Report this profile; reports do not need an account.
